Project Description



I joined the lab in October 2014 as a postdoctoral researcher.

My major project is to further develop size exclusion chromatography (SEC) methods for studying protein complexes. Specifically, I will test methods to separate very large protein complexes, which have previously been unresolved. The SEC technique allows the analysis of hundreds to thousands of protein complexes in a single experiment, allowing me to compare protein interactions across different cellular states. Of particular interest, I will combine this SEC technology with quantitative proteomics and RNA-Seq, to gain new insights into the regulation of protein-RNA interactions.

I am funded by the Naito Foundation Fellowship (Oct 2014- ), the Uehara Memorial Foundation Fellowship (Apr 2015- Mar 2016), and the H2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship (Apr 2016- Mar 2018). I would like to thank the both foundations in Japan and the EC for providing me with a chance to work in the Lamond lab.
